The Welsh Korfball Association are excited to announce the first open U19 Wales Korfball trials to be held on 8th April 11am-2pm at Sophia Gardens. This trial aims to build the first U19 training squad working towards the U19 Beach Korfball World Cup to be held in Blankenberge (Belgium) in August this year. This is an amazing opportunity for any aspiring young Welsh athlete, and will be the first time Wales enters an international youth tournament.

The trial is open to anyone within the sport or complete beginners, as the trial will be aimed as a talent identification day to look at transferable skills from similar sports such as Netball and Basketball.

Eligibility

The trial is open to all young athletes aged 15-18 as of 1st January.

The trials will be run by current WKA Youth Development Officer and Interim U19 Wales Coach Alice Hunter and assisted by Jess Davies (Assistant Senior Wales Coach) and James Wilcox (Cardiff City Coach).

The trial is open to all young athletes aged 15-18 as of 1st January this year and are eligible to represent Wales by either; having a Welsh Parent or Grand-Parent or having resided in the country for 3 years. Furthermore, the trial is open to anyone within the sport or complete beginners, as the trial will be aimed as a talent identification day to look at transferable skills from similar sports such as Netball and Basketball.
